Autonomous works based on the human face.
Title: " Two-Faced Janus. The beginning, the end. "
Size: Diptych. The picture consists of two panels - 80cm x 80cm. Total size - 80cm x 160cm
Year of creation: 2020
Technique: Painting
Materials:  paper, pastels, acrylics, black ink, ink, watercolor, varnish
Concept:
The two-faced Janus is an old Roman god, one of the meanings of which was the beginning and the end. Traditionally he is depicted with two faces looking in different directions. One face is a young man, the other is an older man.
In my interpretation, Two-Faced Janus looks at himself. The beginning and the end are met. On the right side is a portrait of a young boy, on the left an older man. On the timeline - everything on the right is the future, on the left is the past.  When people are young, they think about the future, when they are old, they think about the past.
People have to pay for wisdom and experience through time and youth.

The work is in a private collection in America.

Title: "The crown - a crown of thorns."
Year: 2021
Size: 80X80 X 0.1 cm
Material: heavy cardboard, gilding (metal alloy, imitation of gold leaf), acrylic, oil, ink, watercolor, protective varnish
Concept:
I was inspired by Shakespeare's quote, «Uneasy is the head that wears a crown», from Henry IV, or «Heavy is the head the wears the crown». This work is about power and responsibility, about how everything is temporary. The crown is represented as an extension of the head, it seems to grow into the head, as well as the crown becomes a crown of thorns, which emphasizes the burden of power, the more power the more responsibility. The crown is shown in a process of destruction, symbolizing that nothing is everlasting. The character is androgynous, responsibility and power are not gendered.

Title: The inconspicuous Man
Year: 2024
Size: 80X80 cm
Materials: cardboard, acrylic, art paint Maimeri acrilico fosfo made in Italy (the peculiarity of the paint - glow in the dark, the paint is fluorescent).
Specification: The longer the painting is exposed to light, the more active the light source that illuminates the painting, the brighter the painting glows in the dark. The peculiarity of Maimeri acrilico fosfo paint is that it needs to be infused with light to glow in the dark.
Concept:
This is a work about unnoticed people, in a sense about hidden potential. Often a formulaic, superficial perception hides from us the true light of others, as well as each of us.
The painting looks different in daylight and in the dark. The silhouette of the head almost merges with the background in daylight, which makes the portrait not accentuated, dissolving in the environment. But in the dark, a luminous silhouette is seen, which turns into an accent in the darkness and goes beyond the picture in the darkness. In the illuminated space the painting is a soft combination of converging tones, in the darkness it is a luminous, bright, accent silhouette. The painting belongs to the conceptual direction in art and minimalism, but is built on complex color tones.

Title: "Transformation".
Year: 2021
Size: 80X80 X 0.1 cm
Material: paper, pastel, acrylic, mixed technique
Concept:
Portraits are most often portrayed as frozen in the moment, static. Despite the emotional calmness of the portrait, I portray it dynamically. It's a study of the human face as a living object, not a frozen one. The face is subject to change, it happens every second, reflecting the inner life. That's what I'm portraying.
